    The wind speed and direction of the Guangdong cities and Hong Kong are based on 10-minute mean winds while that of Macao are based on 1-minute mean winds. Direction of the arrow indicates the direction to which the winds are blowing. For example, represents northerly winds. (Please note that wind direction is reported by the direction where the winds originate. Northerly winds blow from the north to the south.)

  • The rainfall data displayed is the hourly rainfall recorded in the past hour. For example, the rainfall data at 2 p.m. would be the cumulative rainfall recorded between 1 p.m. and 2 p.m.

  • Weather observations webpage is updated hourly. When latest weather data is not available, data in the previous hour will be displayed in grey colour instead. Moreover, update of information on this webpage may be deferred due to delay on data transmission. Users may refer to the official webpage of the meteorological authorities for latest information under such circumstances.
